Day off....?
With guest blogger.... Ginette!
After our 5-day adventure we decided to enjoy a day off in Leavenworth. Most would think of R&R when considering a day off, but we decided a 3 1/2 River Raft tour would be the best way to "chill out".
The day began with some breakfast followed by a quick bike trip to downtown Leavenworth...I know right ...you're thinking day off & we hop on our bikes!!!!! Yet that's what we did....ride off in search of some biking essentials & a quick coffee stop. Leavenworth is a beautiful town where even the Starbucks is decked out in a Bavarian theme.
Once we biked back to camp, we got ready for our river rafting adventure. It was amazing!!! The worst part was having to get into the black wets suits in the hot sun. But that torture was quickly relieved once we were in our raft. The adventure was epic and most perfect...thanks to our great guide "Sphaghetti" Sam.
After paddling through some awesome rapids for 3 + hours, we finaly decided to do some real R&R. Brent is now getting prepped for his continuing adventure as tomorrow he will head to Ellensburg...so stay tuned.

Obviously, a couple of intelligent variables, immediately come to mind.
Number 1: We are all delighted that Ginette is safe, and seemingly in gracious spirits, after her husband ditched her on the side of the road; in front of the children.
Number 2: Is it just me? Or is it not refreshing to enjoy (2) consecutive days of blogging written by someone other than the self-absorbed Emperor, forcing his family to live vicariously on this trek from hades. I did note that our lovely blogger did reference this whole nonsensical journey as "his continuing adventure."
(sigh) If I'm not mistaken, there is a State prison near-by; how providential. And we all know that your desire to hop on your bikes, for your R&R day, was not an autonomous move. I am sad to hear that the Bavarian theme could not be digested longer. But I do give a hat-tip to "Sphaghetti Sam...
Ginette, your blog was concise and clear, however, I do believe you forgot to remind all of us where the Emperor's self-absorbed fuel to battle these inner-demons stems from. You may have wanted to end your blog by sharing this enlightening para-phrase: Brent, always tried his very best at High School basketball...though not very good...he was happy to be included, socially.
Question? Did you guys ever conspire to throw Brent overboard on the raft adventure? Temptations always lurk out in the wild...
GO TEAM-K!!
